James Owen, 55, and Ellen Rea, 52, have been sentenced after being found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman. Owen was handed eight years behind bars, while Rea got two years.
Personal Trainer Used Fitness Sessions to Groom Victim
The court revealed Owen, a personal trainer, groomed the teenager during training sessions in early 2021. The couple later invited her to their Salisbury home for dinner on February 6, where they plied her with alcohol and abused her.

“James Owen and Ellen Rea conspired to abuse the trust of a young woman. Their horrendous actions were fuelled by their own selfish desires, without for a moment considering the long-lasting consequences,” said Detective Constable Martyn Powell.
“I pay tribute to the bravery of the young woman who helped bring these offenders to justice. I hope she finds some solace in the sentences handed down today.”
