Two Men Charged with Canterbury Stabbing Murder
Two men are due in court today over the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old in Canterbury city centre. The brutal attack happened on the High Street on Thursday, October 10, 2024, around 11:31 p.m.
Victim Dies at Scene After Stabbing
Kent Police rushed to the disturbance and found the victim with a stab wound. Emergency services tried to save him but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Charged and Court Dates Set
- Kemal Ibrahim, 24, from Long Acre Close, Canterbury
- Mohammed Hgar, 31, homeless
Both men face charges of murder and possession of a bladed weapon in public. Ibrahim is also charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. They will appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 14.
Two other men arrested have since been released on bail as police continue their hunt for answers.
