Tunbridge Wells Drug Dealer Busted After Claiming Greek Identity

A 21-year-old drug dealer from Tunbridge Wells tried to fool police by posing as a Greek national and giving a false name. But Kenado Boja’s cover was blown, landing him behind bars for three and a half years.

Caught Red-Handed in Ford Fiesta

On 2 February 2024, local officers stopped Boja’s Ford Fiesta in Calverley Street, suspecting it was linked to drug supply. When questioned, Boja nervously handed over a fake Greek ID, saying he was just moving the car for a mate. But a search revealed multiple deals of cocaine hidden inside a vape and two other bags stashed in the vehicle.

Safe Full of Cocaine Found at Temporary Address

Boja was arrested and admitted to lying about his identity. The drugs discovered were valued between £400 and £500. Police tracked down a temporary residence in Tunbridge Wells where they uncovered a safe containing about 50 wraps of cocaine worth £2,100 to £2,700, along with digital scales and £613 cash.

Jail Sentence and Forfeiture of Car and Cash

Boja, who lives in Isleworth, London, pleaded guilty at Maidstone Crown Court to possession with intent to supply cocaine and using a false identity. On 15 October, he was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison. The court also ordered the seizure of the Ford Fiesta and cash linked to the crime.

“Dealers who come to west Kent to deal class A drugs are easily spotted by local officers,” said PC Taiya Patching. “This offender tried to give a false name, but the constables quickly saw through his deception. They tracked down his temporary address where significant cocaine and cash were seized. He’s now losing the profit and starting his prison sentence – and rightfully so.”
