North London Stabbing Shocker: Victim Named

Efthyia Constantinou, 62, has been confirmed as the woman fatally stabbed in Enfield, North London. The grim discovery was made at her home on Wednesday, October 30.

Deadly Attack on Westerham Avenue

Police were called to an address on Westerham Avenue, Edmonton just after 5 p.m. When officers arrived, they found Efthyia with fatal stab wounds. Emergency services tried desperately to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect Charged: Known to Victim

Zaneta Peto, 55, from Charles Street, Enfield, has been charged with murder. She appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on November 2. Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee confirmed Zaneta was known to Efthyia and that no other suspects are being sought.

“Our sincerest condolences are offered to Efthyia’s family, friends, and the wider community who are so deeply saddened by her death,” said DCI Lee.

Community in Shock as Family Mourns

Efthyia’s family is receiving support from specially trained officers while police continue their investigation. Authorities stress the probe is in its early stages but no further arrests are expected currently.
