Harshita’s body was discovered on Brisbane Road, Ilford, last Thursday, November 14 — a day after she was reported missing.

A post-mortem confirmed she was murdered. Detectives from Northamptonshire and the Metropolitan Police are leading the investigation.

Concerns were first raised on Wednesday, November 13, when Harshita failed to respond at her home in Skegness Walk, Corby.

History of Domestic Abuse Exposed

New reports reveal Harshita was a victim of domestic violence. She had been granted a Domestic Violence Protection Order at Northampton Magistrates Court in September, highlighting ongoing fears for her safety.

The East Midlands Special Operations Major Crime Unit is working round the clock to piece together what happened.

“She was a young woman in her early 20s with her whole life ahead of her. It is absolutely tragic that her life has been cut short in this way,” said Detective Chief Inspector Johnny Campbell.

“We are working tirelessly to find the location and timeframe of the murder, and urge anyone with information to come forward.”
