Tragic Death of Young Woman in Hit-and-Run Shock

Police are hunting a dark Land Rover Discovery after 25-year-old Alana Armstrong was killed in a hit-and-run on Batley Lane, Pleasley, last Tuesday night.

Alana’s E-Bike Struck – Driver Flees Scene

The incident happened around 8pm on November 26, when Alana’s e-bike was hit by a dark Land Rover Discovery, believed to be made between 2004 and 2009. The vehicle fled the scene, last seen turning onto Rowthorne Lane towards the A617 and New Houghton.

Derbyshire Police Launch Urgent Appeal

Derbyshire Constabulary has launched a full investigation and is desperate for witnesses. They want anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward. A QR code has been set up for anonymous tips – just quote reference number 24*705090.

“This is a devastating loss,” police said. “We are determined to find those responsible and bring justice for Alana and her family.”
