Knife Maniac Jailed for Life After Brutal Wandsworth Attack
Frenzied Knife Assault Sparks Terror in Home
Tito Eleto, 30, unleashed a savage knife attack on two women in Wandsworth before heroic cops wrestled him down. Eleto, from Radipole Road, SW6, admitted to attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, and knife possession after the terrifying incident, which erupted from a domestic dispute.
Horrific Scene at Victim’s Flat
It all went down on Monday, 4 December 2023. Eleto showed up at the victim’s flat and convinced her to remove the door chain, pretending he just wanted to talk. Once inside, he launched a brutal stabbing spree. The victim, a woman in her 30s, tried to escape deeper into the home, but Eleto followed, continuing his attack.
Her mother, in her 60s, stepped in to help but ended up injured herself, stabbed in the armpit and narrowly missed on the head. Eleto then resumed his violent assault on the younger woman, slashing her face, arms, and neck.
Despite their wounds, the women managed to lock themselves and a six-month-old baby in a bedroom, screaming for help. Eleto smashed through their barricade, threatening, “Everyone in the room is going to die.” Thankfully, after desperate pleas, he finally fled.
Cops Step In, Disarm Madman
Police arrived fast and caught Eleto in a lift, blood-covered and still armed. He refused to drop the knife and even stabbed himself. Officers used incapacitant spray and a Taser to bring him down and arrest him.
The two women suffered serious injuries. The younger had deep cuts to her face, neck, and arms, while her mother was cut on her arms. Both received urgent hospital care. The baby escaped unharmed.
Life Behind Bars for Knife Wielding Thug
Eleto faced Kingston Crown Court on Monday, 16 December 2024. He was handed:
- Life imprisonment with a minimum of 12 years for attempted murder
- Five years concurrent for grievous bodily harm with intent
- One year concurrent for possession of a knife
Bravery Praised by Police
“The women absolutely thought they were going to die – it must have been terrifying, especially with a six-month-old baby inside,” said Detective Constable Lucas Pollard.
“Our officers confronted Eleto despite the danger and managed to disarm and arrest him. Their bravery is truly commendable.”
The case lays bare the grim reality of domestic violence and underscores the vital role police play in stopping violent offenders and protecting victims.
