Teen Drug Dealer Locked Up for 30 Months After Surrey and Met Police Sting
A 19-year-old drug dealer has been handed a 30-month prison sentence following a cracking joint operation by Surrey Police and the Metropolitan Police that smashed a county line drug ring in Epsom.
Dealer Caught Red-Handed with Drugs and Cash
Ronnie Belcher, from Gibraltar Crescent, Epsom, appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Tuesday, December 17. The court heard he was guilty of:
- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs
- Being involved in the supply of Class A and Class C drugs
- Possession of Class B drugs
- Possession of criminal property
Belcher was busted in May 2024 after a police raid at his home. Officers seized large quantities of Class A, B, and C drugs, £8,000 in cash, and a mobile phone packed with drug deal messages.
Community Hit Hard by Drug Crime
Inspector Tommy Pearson, Borough Commander for Epsom and Ewell, slammed the devastation drugs wreak on local areas:
“Drugs can cause a devastating impact on local communities, which is why we’re committed to working with neighbouring forces to stop those bringing drugs into the county.”
“You can help us tackle the problem by providing information if you suspect drug dealing is taking place in your area. A little information can go a long way and help us build up a bigger picture of organised crime.”
Police Call on Public to Stay Alert
Surrey Police are urging locals to stay vigilant and report any suspicious drug activity. Public tips play a crucial role in snaring criminals and breaking down drug networks.
