Dartford Burglar Busted! Detectives have nailed a suspected burglar behind a shocking spree of house break-ins and fraudulent bank card use in Dartford.
Series of Break-Ins Rock Dartford
- On Wednesday, 1 January 2025, a terrified resident on Attlee Drive reported an attempted break-in. The crook opened the front door but was stopped by a security chain – no entry gained!
- That same day, a home on Bridges Drive was hit. Thieves smashed a rear door and snatched jewellery and bank cards.
- The stolen bank cards were then used fraudulently across Dartford town centre, spreading fear among local shoppers.
Swift Police Action Nets Suspect
Armed with local CCTV footage, detectives launched a full-scale probe.
- By Monday, 6 January, cops had arrested Reuben Johnson, 31, from Browning Road, Dartford.
- He now faces multiple charges including burglary, attempted burglary, and three counts of fraud.
Facing Justice
- Johnson appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 7 January.
- He’s been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday, 4 February.
Police Urge Vigilance
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “We remain fully committed to tackling burglary in Dartford. We urge residents to stay alert and report anything suspicious.”
