A Croydon woman has been charged after a daring theft bid at a Penge supermarket.

Stephanie Donaldson, 23, was caught red-handed on January 3, 2025, trying to walk out of Sainsbury’s with stolen goods worth £800. Security staff detained her on the spot until police arrived to make the arrest.

Robbery and Theft Charges Filed

Donaldson now faces serious charges of robbery and attempted theft. Police praised the quick action of store security for stopping her before the loss could be made good.
