Ex-beau jailed for stabbing boyfriend in savage Ludgershall attack

Violent Assault Shocks Quiet Town

Kieran Hutchinson, 31, from Abbatt Close, Ludgershall, has been locked up for nearly five years after a brutal stabbing and racial abuse incident. On August 25, 2024, Hutchinson stormed his ex-partner’s home on Taylor Crescent following a heated argument.

Police say he smashed a paving slab through the front door, causing significant damage before violently attacking his ex’s boyfriend, a man in his 40s. The fight escalated as Hutchinson armed himself with multiple knives inside the property and launched a savage assault.

The victim suffered serious wounds to his arm and hand, requiring emergency hospital treatment. Hutchinson fled the scene but was caught days later following a police wanted appeal.

Winchester Crown Court Hands Down Sentence

Appearing at Winchester Crown Court on January 17, Hutchinson pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a bladed article in public, and criminal damage.

He was sentenced to four years and ten months behind bars, plus an extra four-year extended licence period on release.

Police Condemn Knife Crime

Detective Sergeant Toni Nugent from South CID said:

“Hutchinson went to his ex-partner’s property intending to cause serious harm. After an altercation outside, he went inside to find weapons to attack her partner.”

“His actions were utterly unacceptable. Thankfully, the victim’s injuries were not worse.”

“We take all knife crime seriously and will ensure offenders face justice.”

Wiltshire Police Urge Community Vigilance

Wiltshire Police reiterated their commitment to tackling knife crime and urged locals to report any suspicious weapon-related activity.

This sentencing sends a clear warning: violent crimes with weapons carry heavy prison terms.
