Two charged over knife-point robbery in Folkestone

Victim Threatened and Robbed on Beachborough Road

A terrifying knife-point robbery has rocked Folkestone. Between 5:30pm and 6:30pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025, a man was targeted on Beachborough Road. According to police, the victim was approached by suspects in a white car who threatened him with a knife.

  • They stole his mobile phone at knifepoint.
  • Using the phone, the crooks transferred money straight out of his bank account.
  • Police believe the victim and the suspects know each other.

Two Arrested and Charged

Police swooped on Monday, February 3, arresting two suspects linked to the robbery.

  • A 17-year-old boy from Hythe.
  • Georgie Barrow, 18, of Pavilion Road, Folkestone.

Both face charges of robbery and possession of a bladed article in a public place. They have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 5.
