Shoplifter Karlie Everson Banged Up for 18 Months After Crime Spree
Karlie Everson, 38, from Manor Road, Worthing, has been locked up for 18 months following a series of thefts and an assault on a shop worker.
Steals £2,000 in Supermarket Raids and Doorstep Thefts
Between October and December 2024, Everson ripped off supermarkets, local shops, and even doorsteps. She flagrantly ignored a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) by breaching it eight times during her crime spree. Her thefts added up to around £2,000.
Arrested with Drugs, Pleads Guilty at Court
Police nabbed Everson on December 9. She faced 13 shoplifting charges, eight CBO breaches, possession of a Class A drug, and assault. Everson pleaded guilty at Crawley Magistrates’ Court and was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on February 21.
PC Jamie Sanderson said: “Everson persistently targeted businesses, stealing £840 in one incident. We will continue to pursue shoplifters and stand with retail staff.”
