Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Brutal Margate Attack

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a savage assault in Margate that left the victim with life-threatening head injuries.

Victim Fighting for Life

Kent Police launched a major probe after a man in his 40s was found with serious head wounds at a property on Ethelbert Crescent on the morning of Sunday, 9 March 2025. He was rushed to hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Suspect Arrested, Others on Bail

Four men from the Margate area were initially arrested on suspicion of assault. One of them, 21-year-old Archie Rixon of Ethelbert Crescent, has now been charged with attempted murder. He will appear before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday 14 March.

The other three men, aged 21 to 47, were released on bail as the investigation continues.
