Masked Knife-Point Robber Caught After Terrifying Staffordshire Crime Spree
A masked man who terrorised Staffordshire with a string of knife-point robberies has been found guilty. Patryk Slepowronski, 22, from Marston Montgomery, Derbyshire, pleaded guilty to six counts of robbery and one attempted robbery at Stafford Crown Court on Friday 7 March.
He now awaits sentencing in custody.
Violent Crime Spree Shakes Staffordshire
Between November 2024 and January 2025, Slepowronski went on a violent rampage. He targeted convenience stores at Co-op, Tesco Express, Morrisons, and One Stop locations across Upper Tean, Uttoxeter, Hixon, Stafford, and Bentilee.
Armed with a knife, he threatened terrified staff, forced employees to open safes, and emptied cash tills before escaping. Police revealed his brutal raids left shop workers traumatised and communities on edge.
Breakthrough Leads to Arrest
A major breakthrough came when DNA evidence linked Slepowronski to a robbery in Hixon on Christmas Eve. Staffordshire Police’s CID swooped and arrested him shortly afterward.
Officers searching his home seized safe keys and cash tied to multiple robberies, cementing his guilt.
Over £7,000 Stolen – Community Left Fearful
Investigators estimate Slepowronski made off with over £7,000. Each raid spread panic and fear among shop staff and customers alike.
