Two Men Locked Up After High-Stakes Mobile Phone Heist in Worthing

£Tens of Thousands Worth of Tech Stolen

Police swooped on a mobile phone store burglary in Worthing after thieving duo made off with a haul worth tens of thousands of pounds. The break-in happened in the early hours of Wednesday, March 6, at the Three store on Montague Street.

Officers found the store room ransacked, with an impressive stash of stolen goods including mobile phones, headphones, and other electronics.

Suspects Caught on CCTV and Arrested

Community Support Officers cracked the case using CCTV footage, zeroing in on two suspects. Robert May, 50, of no fixed address, and Joseph Perry, 41, from Whitebeam Road, Northbrook, Worthing, were arrested on Monday, March 25.

Both men face charges of commercial burglary following the high-value raid.

Men Remanded Ahead of Court Date

The pair appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 26, where they were remanded in custody. They are due back in court at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday, April 23 to face the charges.
