Man Arrested Over Brutal Assault in Canterbury

A 30-year-old man has been snapped up by police after a serious assault rocked Canterbury in the early hours of Saturday, 29 March 2025.

Late-Night Violence on St Peter’s Street

Kent Police raced to St Peter’s Street at around 1:10am following reports of a disturbance involving a group of people. Emergency crews found a man in his 60s injured and rushed him to hospital. Thankfully, his wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.

Suspect Caught in Surrey, Faces GBH Charges

Officers tracked the suspect to Leatherhead, Surrey, where Billy Brazil, 30, of Chester Road, was arrested in the early hours of Friday, 4 April. He has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and showed up at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court the next day.

Brazil was released on bail pending further hearings but is set to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday, 6 May to face the charges.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
