Teen Charged After Man Hospitalised in Folkestone Stabbing
A 17-year-old boy has been charged following a serious assault in Folkestone that left a man in his 30s in hospital with stab wounds, Kent Police confirmed.
Stabbing Shocks Foord Road Community
Emergency services rushed to Foord Road around 3:30pm on Wednesday, 30 April 2025, after reports of a violent attack. The victim was treated on the scene before being rushed to a London hospital. His injury, consistent with a stab wound, is not believed to be life-threatening, but he remains in hospital.
Two Arrested – Teen Faces Multiple Charges
- Unlawful wounding
- Possession of a knife
- Possession of crack cocaine
A swift police investigation led to the arrest of the 17-year-old on Thursday, 1 May. Later the same day, a 19-year-old man from Folkestone was also taken into custody. The teenager appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 2 May, and was remanded in youth detention. His next court date is Monday, 2 June at Canterbury Crown Court. The 19-year-old man has been bailed but must return to Folkestone Police Station as the investigation continues.
