Three men charged over early-morning burglary at Tunbridge Wells shop

Three men have been charged following a break-in at a convenience store on Calverley Road, Tunbridge Wells in the early hours of Friday, 9 May 2025.

Burglars strike at 1.40am, steal cigarettes and cash

Kent Police were called to the scene at 1.40am after reports of a forced entry and theft. The suspects allegedly made off with cigarettes, vape products, and cash before fleeing the scene.

Swift police action leads to arrests and charges

The suspects were tracked down quickly. Three men have now been charged with burglary:

  • Adin Shkar, 29, no fixed address
  • Makwan Abdul, 32, of Grove Street, Bolton (Manchester)
  • Shasho Mohammedi, 30, no fixed address, also charged with possession of a bladed article and driving offences

All three appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 10 May. They have been remanded in custody and are scheduled for a further hearing on 16 May.

Investigation continues — more arrests possible

Kent Police have not ruled out further arrests as inquiries carry on. Officers urge anyone with information about the burglary to contact Kent Police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
