Teen Duo Admit Savage Killing of Kittens in North West London

A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl have confessed to torturing and killing two kittens in a shocking Ruislip incident. The grim case has rocked the local community and triggered a public outcry.

Gruesome Discovery: Kittens Mutilated and Hung from Tree

Appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on May 20, the teenagers pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to protected animals and carrying knives in public.

The brutal attack happened on May 3 near Ickenham Road, close to Ruislip Golf Course. Prosecutor Valerie Benjamin revealed that passersby raised the alarm after spotting the boy with an animal carrier. Cops found one kitten hanging from a tree by ropes, while the other lay mutilated on the ground.

Knives, blowtorches, and scissors were seized at the scene, painting a horrifying picture of the cruelty inflicted.

Chilling Evidence Found on Mobile Phone

Disturbingly, the boy’s phone contained messages expressing a desire to kill cats and dogs, along with searches on how to kill a human.

Following a public appeal and release of CCTV footage, the pair were arrested. Two other teens—a 16-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl—were also detained on suspicion of animal cruelty but later released without charge, police confirmed.

Youth Held Under Curfew Ahead of Sentencing

Both teenagers are now in local authority care under strict bail conditions that include a 6pm to 7am curfew and a ban on contacting each other.

“As I hope is clear to you, the offences are extremely serious. I am not ruling out any way of dealing with you,” warned District Judge Michael Oliver.

The pair face sentencing at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on June 23.
