Man Charged After Leeds Hit-and-Run Kills Teen
A 26-year-old man is set to appear in court today after a deadly hit-and-run in Leeds claimed the life of 19-year-old Ashton Kitchen-White. The horror crash happened on Friday, 16 May, leaving police hunting three more suspects connected to the incident.
Regan Kemp, 26, from Lafrowda Close, St Just, Penzance, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He faces magistrates as the investigation, known as Operation Pintford, continues.
The Deadly Collision Details
At around 10:09 PM, Ashton was struck by a red Ford Focus on Ring Road Beeston Park in Middleton, Leeds. The driver sped off without stopping, but the car was later found nearby.
Two males aged 19 and 15 were initially arrested but have since been released on bail and are no longer suspects.
Three Suspects Now in the Frame
West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team has named three men they want to question:
- Regan Kemp, 26, St Just, Penzance (charged)
- Macauley Martin, 26, Livingston, West Lothian
- Liam Miller, 24, Polbeth, West Lothian
Police believe the Ford Focus travelled from Scotland to Leeds shortly before the crash. Kemp is thought to have returned to Cornwall.
