Brighton Man, 23, Charged with Rape in Sussex
A 23-year-old man from Brighton is facing serious allegations after being charged with the rape of a woman in Sussex.
Jaden Standing Arrested Over July 2024 Incident
Jaden Standing, formerly of Bamford Close, Brighton, was arrested in September 2024 following an investigation into an alleged incident from July 2024. He now faces a formal charge of rape.
The victim’s identity remains protected. Sussex Police confirmed she has been supported throughout by specially trained officers.
Court Appearances Set for June
Standing appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on June 2, 2025. He is due back at the same court on June 16 to answer the charge.
Sussex Police Confirm Ongoing Investigation
A Sussex Police spokesperson said the probe is ongoing. They urged the public to avoid speculation and assured ongoing victim support.
“We understand how distressing these cases can be, and our specially trained officers are continuing to support the victim,” the statement said.
