A man has sadly died following a serious industrial incident at a workplace on Pedmore Road, Dudley, this morning.
Emergency services, including two ambulances, paramedic officers, the Critical Care Car, and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART), were rushed to the scene at 9:53am.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said:
“On arrival, we discovered one patient, a man, who was in a critical condition.
Ambulance teams began administering advanced life support but were unable to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Despite best efforts by medics and specialist responders, the man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Investigation Underway
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed, and an investigation is expected to be launched by the relevant health and safety authorities.
Local police and workplace inspectors are likely to attend to determine whether safety protocols were followed and to support the family of the deceased.
