Police have closed off Newfield Road and sections of Rose Walk in Newhaven amid reports of a potential explosive device in the area.
While Sussex Police have not yet confirmed the nature of the incident, sources suggest the presence of an “unidentified explosive device” has prompted the swift action. Officers are currently at the scene, and cordons have been erected.
