Visitors said the incident centred on the Forbidden Valley area, with announcements instructing guests to leave. Images and videos posted online showed crowds being ushered out and long queues forming at exit points.

One attendee wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Never had a whole area of Alton Towers evacuated before! I’m confused as hell. I hope nothing too serious has happened.”

Others reported traffic disruption and confusion as some car park entrances were closed. One visitor, who had walked 25 minutes with elderly relatives toward Forbidden Valley, claimed there was “no communication with customers” and “nobody blocking off routes.”
