Shock Murder Rocks Huddersfield: Javell Morgan, 20, Fatally Attacked
Just after midnight on Monday, August 15, police rushed to Claremont Road after reports of a serious incident. They found 20-year-old Javell Morgan badly injured and quickly rushed him to hospital. Tragically, Javell was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Two Men Arrested and Charged Over Brutal Killing
Days later, on Thursday, August 18, officers arrested two men in Huddersfield in connection with Javell’s murder. Jacob Doughty from Ponyfield Close and Simeon Baptiste from Wellfield Bank have been officially charged with murder.
Both suspects remain in custody ahead of their court appearance at Manchester & Salford Magistrates Court on Monday, August 22.
Police Urge Public to Come Forward With Information
“Our thoughts are with Javell’s family and friends at this heartbreaking time,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil Higginson. “Specially trained officers are supporting the family and we will keep a strong presence in Moss Side to reassure the community. “Although two suspects have been charged, our investigation continues. We urge anyone with information, photos, or videos to help bring justice for Javell.”
