Mother and Daughter Found Dead in Shocking Heath Estate Murder
Police were called just after 9:55am on Thursday 8 September following serious concerns for the safety of residents at a Heath Estate property. When officers forced entry, they discovered a 12-year-old girl and a 44-year-old woman dead inside.
The victims have been formally identified as Jillu Nash and her daughter Louise Nash.
Chilling Details from Post-Mortem Reports
- Jillu Nash died from pressure applied to the neck, according to a Home Office post-mortem.
- Louise Nash’s cause of death was a stab wound to the abdomen.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
A 46-year-old man found at the scene with serious injuries was rushed to hospital. He remained under police custody for over five weeks.
Yesterday evening (Saturday 15 October), he was transferred to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. The suspect, Peter Nash of Heath Estate, Great Waldingfield, has now been charged with two counts of murder.
Peter Nash has been remanded in custody and is set to appear before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday 17 October.
