13 Charged After Brutal Cemetery Brawl Shocks Swansea
Chaos erupted at Morriston Cemetery on August 5 when a violent gang clash left two people seriously hurt. Armed police and a helicopter swooped in around 3pm to quell the brutal midday brawl.
Weapons and Violence in the Heart of the Cemetery
Thirteen men, all known to each other, have been slapped with charges of violent disorder and possession of weapons. They face Swansea Crown Court next month.
“This was an absolutely appalling incident that would have terrified those in the cemetery in the middle of the day,”
said Detective Chief Inspector Owens of South Wales Police.
Police Warn: Crime Like This Won’t Be Tolerated
The gang’s violent behaviour and weapon use shook the quiet community. Det Ch Insp Owens stressed:
“This type of criminal behaviour will not be tolerated in our communities, and anyone who commits these acts will face the consequences.”
