High-Speed Chase Ends with Five-Year Jail Term for Drug Dealer

Ruthless Driver Caught in Dangerous Pursuit

Mohammed Hussain, 34, of Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe, was slammed with a five-year prison sentence at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday (3 May). He also faces a four-year driving ban followed by a tough extended test before he can hit the road again.

The court found Hussain guilty of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and dangerous driving after a nail-biting police chase.

Terrifying M40 Pursuit

On 1 May 2018, Hussain was spotted tearing down the M40 southbound in a white BMW 330d. Witnesses say he recklessly cut across all three lanes to snatch the exit at junction 4.

When officers tried to stop him, Hussain floored it, running a red light at the Handycross roundabout, smashing the 30mph limit by reaching 60mph, and weaving dangerously by driving the wrong way around a roundabout and on the wrong side of bollards.

His speed shot up to a shocking 80mph in the 30mph zone before he finally pulled up on Halifax Road and fled down a nearby alleyway.

Drug Haul Worth £25,000 Found in Garden

Police gave chase and found Hussain hiding behind a fence. They discovered a white bin liner stuffed with 252g of high-purity cocaine worth £25,000 in a neighbour’s garden. Hussain’s fingerprints were on the bag.

He was caught with a mobile phone and over £300 in cash. Later, officers raided his home and seized a money counting machine. Forensic analysis of the phone linked Hussain directly to drug dealing.

Detective Furious After Five-Year Battle

“This case has taken five years to conclude in part due to Hussain’s lies throughout the process,” said Detective Sergeant James Faulkner. “He showed utter disregard for the safety of others, driving recklessly at more than double the speed limit.”

“Hussain played a significant role in the supply of dangerous drugs that wreck communities. If you have information about drug dealing in your area, please contact your local police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

A Proceeds of Crime investigation is ongoing as Hussain starts his jail term for putting lives at risk and flooding the streets with cocaine.
