Teen Murder Shocker in Walsall: Bailey Stabbed to Death in Market Town Attack
Bailey died from multiple stab wounds to his back, arms and legs despite desperate attempts at open-heart surgery at the scene.
From Coventry to Walsall – Escaping Gangs Only to Face New Violence
Bailey had moved to Walsall from Coventry two years earlier to escape gang life, but tragically became caught up in local gang conflicts.
On the evening of January 27, 2023, Bailey was out with a female friend. After a taxi dropped them in Walsall town centre, they were walking near market stalls when a car suddenly swerved towards them.
Bailey urged his friend to “run” as he fled along the High Street.
Deadly Ambush: Stolen Cars, Machetes & Zombie Knives
- Two stolen cars – a Toyota Verso and a Seat Leon – carrying nine gang members had met earlier in a supermarket car park.
- They drove into town looking for Bailey in revenge for an earlier attack he made two months prior on a gang member’s brother.
- Bailey was cornered on Lower Hall Lane but escaped, only to be chased down further along the High Street.
- Six attackers jumped out wielding machetes and zombie knives, brutally stabbing Bailey before fleeing the scene.
One attacker even stopped to take a photo of Bailey on his mobile phone as he lay bleeding.
Burning Cars and Swift Justice
The attackers made off to Wolverhampton, where the stolen cars were found burnt out minutes later on Slater Street.
Police arrived at the scene within five minutes and performed CPR, but Bailey was pronounced dead shortly after reaching hospital.
Detectives launched a meticulous investigation, scouring hours of CCTV and mobile phone footage to track every suspect’s movements.
Seven Teens Convicted of Murder After Ten-Week Trial
