Hove Man Nabbed Over Shocking Seafront Sex Attacks
A 59-year-old man from Hove has been arrested following a series of brazen sexual assaults targeting women out exercising along the seafront.
Nine Sexual Assault Charges Laid
Fattah Derrahi, from Farm Road, Hove, faces nine counts of sexual assault. The alleged attacks took place between August 2023 and October 2025 around the popular Hove Lawns area.
Victims say Derrahi approached and assaulted them, often in the morning while they were working out or just finishing their exercise.
Court Date Set as Police Boost Patrols
Derrahi appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 15 November, and was remanded in custody. He is scheduled for a hearing at Lewes Crown Court on 10 December.
“I know these reports were concerning for the public, and I would like to thank everyone who came forward with information to support the investigation,” said Detective Inspector Sharon Ford.
“We will continue to conduct proactive patrols in the area as part of our ongoing commitment to protecting women and girls in Brighton and Hove.”
