Two Dead in Horrific Early Morning Crash on Common Lane, Pleasley
Tragedy struck at dawn on Thursday, 27 November, when a smash on Common Lane, Pleasley, claimed two young lives. Derbyshire Police have named the victims and are desperate for witnesses to speak up.
Fatal Collision Details
The smash involved a Vauxhall Meriva and a Suzuki Alto at around 6:20am. The Suzuki’s driver, 26-year-old Amie Pearson, and her passenger, 29-year-old Chelsea Carlisle, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have confirmed that families have been informed and offered their condolences.
Serious Injuries and Arrest
A nine-year-old boy travelling in the Suzuki suffered life-changing injuries and remains in hospital. Meanwhile, three men in the Vauxhall were hurt, with two in serious condition.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was also rushed to hospital with injuries and remains in their care.
