A Hertford man has been locked up for three and a half years after a chilling sexual assault in a London hotel.

James Thomas Jailed for Sexual Assault

James Thomas, 28, from Valeside, Hertford, was found guilty of sexual assault by digital penetration at Inner London Crown Court last September. The horrifying attack took place in the early hours of 29 April 2023 inside a hotel on Harrow Road.

Swift Police Action and Crucial CCTV Evidence

The victim showed immense courage, leaving the hotel alone before contacting Rape Crisis that very afternoon. She reported the attack to police on 1 May, prompting Thomas’s immediate arrest.

Police acted quickly, obtaining vital CCTV footage from hotel staff that sealed the case against Thomas.

Thomas Added to Sex Offenders Register

After his conviction, Thomas was promptly added to the sex offenders register, ensuring ongoing monitoring.
