A brutal attack caught on camera has landed 26-year-old Kelsey Bainbridge behind bars. She filmed herself viciously assaulting her ex-partner and then posted the chilling footage online, complete with threats.
Shocking Assault Filmed and Shared Online
Bainbridge recorded the savage attack on her ex, uploading the video with a menacing caption: “Prepare for his funeral because he is going in a coffin.”
The prolonged assault saw her repeatedly punching and stabbing the man with household objects, including an ornament and a picture frame. The victim suffered a deep head wound and needed hospital treatment.
Friend Also Targeted in Violent Rampage
In a terrifying twist, Bainbridge also attacked a former friend, striking her with a broken Lambrini bottle. The woman was left with cuts and swelling to her head.
Arrest, Charges, and Prison Sentence
- Bainbridge was arrested on July 5 in Spennymoor while carrying a shovel.
- She faced charges of attempted wounding with intent, wounding, and possession of an offensive weapon.
- At Teesside Crown Court, she pled guilty and was slammed with a 2.5-year prison sentence on December 11.
“These were violent and sustained attacks on two people which left them needing hospital treatment,” said Detective Constable Lynette Baker, who led the investigation. “Hopefully, with Bainbridge behind bars, they can continue the process of recovering from these horrific incidents and move on with their lives.”
