The father got out as the fire engulfed the property. Tragically, his wife, in her forties, and their two children were trapped inside. Emergency crews recovered the mother and one child’s bodies on Sunday. The home remains too dangerous to recover the second child’s body.

No Suspicion as Fire Probe Continues

Gloucestershire Constabulary say the fire started on the ground floor and there are no suspicious circumstances. Fire and police investigators are working together to find out the cause.

A cordon stays up and emergency teams expect to be at the scene for several days.
