New Charge Hits One Suspect
A man tied to the horrific rape of a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton last July has been slapped with an additional charge. Mohammad Kabir, 24, appeared at Warwick Crown Court on 27 January. Previously charged with aiding and abetting rape, intentional strangulation, and attempting to take a child, Kabir’s rape-related charge was today amended to “committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence.”
Co-Accused Faces Multiple Rape Counts
His co-defendant, Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, also an Afghan national, faces a slew of serious allegations. He stands charged with three counts of rape of a female child under 13, abducting a child, and two counts of sexual assault. The prosecution slapped a fresh charge on Mulakhil today — one count of taking indecent photos of a child.
Trial Set to Kick Off Tomorrow
The trial for both men is expected to begin at Warwick Crown Court on 28 January.
