Three teens have been convicted of manslaughter after a brutal, pre-planned beating on a Kent beach left a young man dead. The savage attack saw the victim pelted with rocks and kicked until he was unconscious. Now, justice is closing in.
Fake Online Date Turns Into Brutal Ambush
The gang – two boys and a girl, all under 18 – first met Alexander Cashford at a Leysdown arcade on August 8, 2025. After Alexander handed his number to the girl, the trio created a fake social media profile named “Sienna” to lure him into a deadly trap.
“They lured him to meet the girl, but it wasn’t just her who was waiting. All three were ready, fully aware their plan was to attack Mr Cashford.”
Chilling Video and Witnesses Bring Attackers to Heel
The girl even filmed the start of the horrific assault. Nearby witnesses rushed to Alexander’s aid and tracked the attackers’ escape, leading to swift arrests. Some witnesses said the teens gloated over their wicked deed afterwards.
- The 14-year-old boy (now 15) and 16-year-old girl were found guilty by a Woolwich Crown Court jury.
- The second boy, aged 15 at the time (now 16), had already pleaded guilty.
- All three denied murder but were convicted of manslaughter.
Family Seeks Justice as Teens Brace for Sentencing
Prosecutor Smith said, “Their joint actions that night led to Alexander Cashford’s death. His family can now take some comfort knowing justice has been done.”
The teenagers await sentencing at Woolwich Crown Court. Judges will consider their ages against the ruthless planning and extreme violence of the attack before deciding their fate.
