Brutal Attack in Chadwell Heath
A 36-year-old man has been convicted of murder following a horrific assault in Chadwell Heath. Duane Owusu, from Dagenham, was found guilty of killing 27-year-old Zahwa Mukhtar after he threw her from a moving car and brutally attacked her.
Met Police Crack the Case
The Metropolitan Police led the investigation that ultimately brought Owusu to justice. The shocking incident took place on Saturday, 16 August 2025. After a tense trial, a jury at the Old Bailey delivered the guilty verdict on Thursday, 5 March.
Sentencing Set for Next Week
Owusu will be sentenced on Thursday, 12 March. The court expects a harsh sentence given the savage nature of the crime.
