Child Killer Ian Huntley Dies After Brutal Prison Attack

Ian Huntley, the infamous Soham murderer, has died aged 52 following a savage prison assault at HMP Frankland, County Durham.

Prison Brawl Leaves Huntley Brain-Dead

Huntley never regained consciousness after a vicious attack on 26 February. The convicted child murderer suffered severe head injuries from a blow with a makeshift weapon in a prison workshop. He was put on life support but later died from his injuries.

Huntley was serving a life sentence with a 40-year minimum for the brutal killings of 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002. The girls disappeared from Soham, Cambridgeshire, after a family barbecue. Huntley, a former school caretaker, lured them to his home before murdering them.
