Knife Scare Near London School Sparks Lockdown

Students at St. Mary Magdalene School were told to stay inside after reports of a knife fight nearby on Hendon Street last Monday afternoon.

Teens with Knives Spotted

Police rushed to the scene around 3pm on March 9 after witnesses spotted two teenagers carrying knives in the area.

Officers combed through CCTV footage and questioned witnesses to get to the bottom of the incident.

No Arrests Yet as Investigation Continues

The school took quick safety measures, keeping pupils indoors temporarily. Thankfully, the lockdown was lifted shortly after.

Three days on, police have made no arrests. The investigation remains open as officers work to track down those responsible.

Met Police spokesperson: “We understand the concern these incidents can cause, and tackling community crime and anti-social behaviour remains a key priority for the Met.”

“On Monday (March 9) at around 3pm, police were called to a report of two teenagers seen with a knife on Hendon Street, Greenwich. Officers attended to review CCTV footage and speak to witnesses. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.”
