Violent Assault Rocks Park Road
Just after 10pm last night, chaos erupted on Park Road, Ravensthorpe, when police were called to reports of a man injured with a machete.
Armed officers quickly swooped on the scene, rounding up suspects linked to the brutal attack.
Police Net Five Suspects with Air Support
Three men were arrested on the spot. Then, with help from the National Police Air Service, two more men were tracked down and nabbed in a nearby vehicle.
Ammunition in the form of weapons was seized, including a discarded axe and a Rambo-style knife.
Victim Hospitalised but Discharged
The victim suffered a leg injury and was rushed to the hospital, but was discharged shortly after treatment.
Ongoing Investigation
The five men, aged 16, 17, 18, 19, and 23, remain in custody as Kirklees CID continue their probe into the violent incident.
