Kyle Chisholm, 27, from Hilperton, has been jailed for more than four years following a terrifying campaign of stalking and a brutal suffocation attack on a woman.

The disturbing incidents took place between December 2023 and November 2025. During this period, Chisholm relentlessly sent threatening messages to the victim, warning he would kill her, harm her children, and even target her pets. His harassment extended to disabling her doorbell camera and slashing the tyres of her car.

The situation escalated when Chisholm pinned a pillow over the woman’s face, threatening to end her life.

The victim spoke out about the impact of the ordeal, saying, “I have avoided texts from my loved ones, as I don’t like my phone anymore, I hate my phone going off, every time it’s a reminder of what I had to put up with. I spend a big portion of my day thinking about what is going through his mind, for example if he is thinking about me or how obsessed is with the thought of hurting me again. It consumes my thoughts and it destroys my energy and capacity to want to do anything productive or leave the house.”

On April 9, Swindon Crown Court sentenced Chisholm to four years and two months after he pleaded guilty to stalking and intentional suffocation. The court also issued an indefinite restraining order to protect the victim.

Local Crime Investigator Ben Hillier condemned Chisholm’s actions as “controlling, dangerous and wholly unacceptable.” He praised the victim’s bravery and assured that Wiltshire Police will continue to fight stalking and violence against women.

Wiltshire Police advises the public to be aware of the four key signs of stalking: Fixated, Obsessive, Unwanted, and Repeated behaviour. Stalking can be perpetrated by an ex-partner, former friend, or stranger, often occurring online through social media, chatrooms, or gaming sites.

If you feel watched or threatened, remember it is not your fault. Support is available through Wiltshire Police and the National Stalking Helpline.
