A lorry driver is in a critical condition after a serious crash on the M25 between junctions 9 and 10. The collision involved an articulated lorry, a London Taxi, and a red Citroen on the clockwise carriageway.
Emergency crews airlifted the lorry driver to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, the occupants of the taxi and the Citroen escaped unharmed.
The motorway remains closed between junction 9 (Leatherhead) and junction 10 (Wisley) as emergency teams manage a large diesel spill and clear the wreckage. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. The closure is expected to last until mid-afternoon.
Surrey Police have issued an appeal for witnesses and dash cam footage. Anyone who saw the crash or captured footage prior to the incident is urged to come forward. Information can be reported by calling 101 and quoting reference PR/P19155923.
