Another night of mayhem in Thailand’s infamous party city, Pattaya. Drunken British tourists sparked a violent brawl that left a German man seriously injured outside The Godfather Bar on Walking Street at 2am.
British Boozers Taunt and Attack German Tourist
The trouble began when two loud British holidaymakers mocked 44-year-old German tourist Marcello, chanting, “We won two world wars.” The taunts quickly escalated into a vicious assault. Marcello’s Thai girlfriend, 31-year-old May Srinateetundorn, rushed to help but couldn’t stop the brutal attack.
Victim in Poor Health Before Attack
May revealed Marcello was already in fragile health. “He has an enlarged left side of his heart and fibrosis in his right lung, making him look thin and fragile,” she said. Marcello only arrived in Pattaya on April 13. This was their first violent encounter in three years together.
“There were two young foreign men acting strangely, walking with unfocused, yellowish eyes. I suspected drugs,” said May. “I warned Marcello to stay out of it, but he tried to speak to them. They clearly wanted a fight.” “One punched him in the face as we were leaving. I was angry and fought back,” she added.
Thai Police Hunt British Thugs
Thai authorities are now hunting the British attackers, who could face serious consequences in the Kingdom. Despite ongoing efforts to rebrand Pattaya as a family-friendly destination, violent incidents involving drunk tourists keep happening — ruining the city’s reputation. Get well soon, Marcello!
