East London Man Charged with Terrorism Offences Following Arrest
Two Lorry Drivers Arrested In Romania In Connection With Migrant Smuggling Investigation

A 22-year-old man from East London, identified as Hamza Alam, has been charged with two counts of encouraging terrorism, in accordance with section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006. The charges come one day after his arrest on Tuesday, September 12, on suspicion of a terrorism-related offences.

Hamza Alam, born on July 27, 2001, was formally charged on Wednesday, September 13. He is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, September 14, where further legal proceedings will take place.

Details surrounding the nature of the alleged offences and the circumstances leading to Mr. Alam’s arrest have not been disclosed by authorities at this time. It is expected that additional information may emerge as the legal process unfolds.
