Merseyside Police are appealing for information after a firearms discharge occurred on Harrops Croft at approximately 13.00 GMT yesterday afternoon. Initial reports indicated a firearms discharge, but no injuries were immediately reported. Subsequently, officers traced the victim, a 26-year-old man, who had suffered a gunshot injury to his leg. Although discharged from the hospital, the victim is unwilling to cooperate with the police investigation.
