Armed Police called to Ashley following concerns for Welfare

Armed officers from Hampshire Constabulary have been called to a property in the village of Ashley in the New Forest we can reveal. Police were called following a 999 call made with concerns for welfare at Property in Brecon Close, at 11am on Wednesday. Armed officers along with response officers attended and became involved in a four-hour siege with a man. Fire crews and a Hampshire Constabulary dog unit was also sent to the incident. A man has been arrested at the property after agreeing to leave the property. A spokesperson for the Constabulary said: “They were called at just before 11am to reports of a disturbance at an address in Brecon Close, Ashley. “Concerns were raised for the welfare of people at the address.”
