Charges Filed In Sheffield City Centre Stabbing Case

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in Sheffield city centre on Tuesday, September 12. John Jubb, 48, was arrested on Friday, September 15, and subsequently charged with attempted murder on Saturday, September 16.

The investigation was initiated after a call was made to the authorities reporting a 14-year-old boy in need of medical assistance on Norfolk Street. Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene, and the injured teenager was transported to the hospital with chest wounds. While his injuries are severe, they are not believed to be life-threatening.

The incident took place in close proximity to the Town Hall, and police swiftly began their inquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

John Jubb, residing at Wincobank Avenue, has been held in custody and is scheduled to make his appearance before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 18.

Authorities are continuing their efforts to gather more information about the incident, and anyone who may have witnessed the event or has additional information is urged to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
