London Fire Brigade crews have been called to a developing incident at a residential address in Dagenham, after smoke was reported issuing from the second floor of a property.

The incident occurred on Studley Road, in Dagenham with two fire engines arriving shortly after 5.20pm on Monday, 24 June. Firefighters  deployed hose reels and donned breathing apparatus bedfore entering the property.

Multiple fire appliances were dispatched to the scene as part of the brigade’s immediate response. The cause of the smoke is not yet confirmed, and it is currently unknown whether there are any injuries.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson at the scene said:

“Crews are currently responding to a report of smoke issuing from the second floor of a property in Studley Road. Firefighters are on the scene and investigations are underway.”

Locals have been advised to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed as a precaution due to smoke in the vicinity.
