Police swooped in just minutes after a burglary alarm sparked at a Brighton business in the early hours.

Fast Response Seals Suspects’ Fate

At 3.07am on Sunday, 12 October, security staff at City Plumbing Supplies in Freshfield Industrial Estate flagged a possible break-in. Officers arrived a lightning-fast four minutes later to find the front door smashed and five young crooks still inside.

Youth Gang Charged with Burglary

  • Diego Stoian, 18, from Greenwich, charged with burglary.
  • Four boys aged 15 and 17 from London, identities withheld for legal reasons, also charged.

All five have been released on conditional bail and will face Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 13 November.

Police Crackdown Continues

Officers praised their swift action and said investigations into business crime across Brighton and Hove are ongoing.
